Brief Posting
The ideal candidate must be customer-service oriented with a drive for process improvement and efficiency and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with all levels of the organization.  The position is responsible for facility security, safety processes, safety equipment, developing and implementing vendor selection and management processes, coordinating office moves and relocation projects. In addition, this position serves as the primary liaison for company field offices performing all of the preceding functions for the field.   
 
The Facilities Services Specialist will report directly to the Facilities Services Lead.
 
Detailed Description
 
  • Coordinate with department management to determine optimal building space allocation and layout, furniture, equipment and facility expansion
  • Administer safety and security programs and guidelines, including access card system, floor warden program, emergency action plan and video surveillance
  • Collaborate with the parking garage vendors, perform regular audits and maintain reserved parking guidelines
  • Perform regular property and site inspections in the corporate and field offices, and recommend and oversee follow up actions
  • Develop standardized policies and procedures as it pertains to vendor selection and activities of the department
  • Review and analyze asset inventory records through Facilities Management Tool to identify trends and present improvement solutions 
  • Respond to afterhours facilities related emergencies and determine course of action to resolve issues
  • Collaborate with internal customers to determine business needs, evaluate feedback on service levels, and implement solutions to address issues
  • Educate employees and guests regarding safety protocol and facility related responsibilities
  • Special projects as requested
Additional Details
 
  • Flexibility to work hours as needed to meet deadlines and handle emergencies
  • Ability to travel up to 25% per quarter (expected to be 30-40% initially)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented
  • Ability to give and take direction and to interface with decision makers in a professional manner and maintain confidential information
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum Requirements
  • 5 + years’ experience in a customer-based, Office Services and Facilities environment
  • 2+ years’ experience in Oil and Gas industry strongly preferred
  • Ability to push/pull/lift 25 pounds
