Support Newfield’s Oklahoma asset and operational team’s through management of all activities related to preparation, submittal and execution of regulatory permitting
 
Detailed Description
  • Responsible for State APD submittals and all required subsequent reporting actions.
  • Conduct all County and City permitting actions as well as Floodplain and FAA permitting.
  • Work with State agencies on UIC permitting and compliance reporting.
  • Guide, advise, and educate asset and operational teams on all aspects of permitting rules and regulations
  • Act as regulatory liaison during all asset development planning to include pre-drill location selection, pad layout design, as well as transportation and pipeline planning
  • Monitor and track status of permit preparation and agency review
  • Support Regulatory Manager in ensuring company’s compliance with local, State, Tribal and Federal regulations as well as monitoring and rectifying NOVs/INCs
  • Establish strong, professional working relationships with agency counterparts.

Minimum Requirements

  • Three to five years regulatory & permitting experience within oil and gas industry preferred
  • Knowledgeable about Oklahoma oil and gas regulations
  • Basic knowledge of oil and gas land requirements including surface and mineral agreements, spacing orders, drilling/pooling units, and leases
  • Basic understanding of drilling and completion operations and production/revenue accounting practices
  • Willing to travel to complete in field tasks associated with various permitting activities

 

Additional Details

  • Energetic self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the flexibility of working extended hours as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to effectively interact within a team environment and across departments with all levels of staff and outside contacts.
  • Preferred candidate would be familiar with oil and gas health and safety requirements as well as environmental regulations such as SPCC, SARA, NORM, Waste Management and air permitting
