Brief Posting
Supervises daily operational activities through Foremen and Meter Techs.  Responsible for managing operations, employee workloads, resource requirements, and training for all field personnel.  Ensures compliance with all HS&E procedures.  NFX policies, and government rules & regulations.  May act as Production Superintendent in their absence. 
 
Detailed Description
  • Acts as a resource to troubleshoot production/ process problems
  • Provides mentoring for all field employees, field engineers, and summer interns
  • Works with foremen to create maintenance schedules and documentation, and monitors results to improve cost structure, run-time, and performance
  • Monitors procurement, transfer, and disposition of materials and equipment
  • Participates in optimization of artificial lift systems
  • Works with engineers to provide production surveillance and optimization
  • Monitors and verifies well production performance
  • Establishes procedures to optimize production
  • Ensures production data is accurate and properly reported
  • Ensures data is captured in a timely manner
  • Monitors wellbore activity and wellbore utility, works with the team to develop a life cycle plan for each well
  • Ensures all wellbore data and well work is properly documented
  • Develops understanding of lease operating expenses and seeks input for pumpers, foremen, and engineers to create and mange the expense budget
  • Provides training opportunities for field personnel (i.e. cross-job training, formal training, and on-the-job developmental training)
  • Participates in the creation, maintenance, and implementation of all chemical programs
  • Responsible for Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) of new wellsite facilities and bringing new wells online.
Minimum qualifications
  • High school diploma; college degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years oil and gas experience
  • Minimum 5 years oil and gas management experience
  • Strong oil and gas operations experience
Additional Details  
  • Strong working knowledge of downhole operations including wireline operations, recompletions, artificial lift, fishing operations, and plugging operations
  • Possess qualities of perseverance, persistence, persuasiveness , and patience to influence decisions and motivate people
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills, is forward-thinking
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Manages relationship with all team members, vendors, and with government agencies
  • Working knowledge of wellsite facility operation and design is desired
Supervisory responsibilities
  • Supervises operators and crews.
Working conditions
Outside work in sometimes harsh weather conditions.
