Brief Posting 
This position is responsible for scheduling and accounting for the movement of crude oil from Newfield leases to various sales hubs in the US via truck, rail and / or pipeline to ensure timely delivery to third party customers.  Directs and monitors daily operations status of deliveries and receipts.  Maintains transportation and shipping records for assisting other departments and monthly reporting for senior management.
Detailed Description
  • Scheduling Activities
    • Pipeline nominations and tracking
    • Inventory and volume timing and management against monthly sales
    • Barge nominations, demurrage and loading
    • Measurement Analysis, tanks outturns to vessels and line displacements; Inspection Company interface
    • Truck and rail car logistics, tracking and billing
  • Oil & Gas market analysis
    • Analyze data and develop presentation materials to be used for Senior Management discussions
    • Track reported grade differentials and reasons for changing relationships
    • Track market impacting factors, pipeline issues and refinery maintenance/issues
    • Prepare weekly reports
    • Monitor trends in inventory changes and price movements
    • Maintain/Develop maps of current production areas for quick trend reference
  • Monthly reporting
    • Troubleshoot revenue, credit and production issues for oil to resolve issues as necessary
    • Monthly reconciliation of commodity sales and production volumes to provide monthly reporting
  • Ad Hoc
    • Assist in counterparty sales statement, internal and PWC audits
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (prefer some minimal Finance experience/exposure)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
Additional Details
  • 3+ years of Upstream scheduling, back office or operational experience
  • Refinery scheduling of pipelines and barges
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Technical aptitude to learn quickly and become self-sufficient
  • Business aptitude to understand upstream operations as well as the downstream value chain
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Flexibility to work hours as needed to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
